KvarTonus Jazz Quartet was established in September 2006 by Eszter Strausz and László Vörös. Their style mostly resembles modern main stream jazz. They strive to combine modern composing techniques with traditional style and presentation of jazz in their own compositions. Their repertoire is expanded with less known jazz standards. Tamás Geröly joined the band in 2009, helping to attain the band its unique character with his special playing style.
